The concept at Sakedokoro Makoto has always been to showcase a style of cooking called, "Sanpi Ryoryon" or Creative Japanese Cooking. We use local or locally sourced ingredients and apply Japanese tastes to them. Some items are sent to us from Japan but we try and source all of our main ingredients stateside.
Some have confused us as a Fusion restaurant because of our contemporary approach to Japanese Cuisine. We are extremely strict about maintaining Japanese tastes to all the food we create.
